I've not read it, but I've seen it recommended by others. If you can
make a better recommendation then please do. I know JS:TGP is not aimed
at total beginners, but that's why I thought it might be a good choice
for folks here. Scripters already familiar with AppleScript and/or other
languages only need a compact (~150pp) reference to JavaScript language
features so they can transfer their existing programming knowledge over
to it. They don't need waste time wading through some 1000-page doorstop
that tries to teach everything about programming concepts, the
JavaScript language, DOM, DHTML, jQuery, etc. completely from scratch.
