Thanks guys, my main hope is to upgrade to Mavericks, not have to change anything and then never look at the scripts again! But that's probably not realistic...

The library bits sound like a serious improvement - I ended up making my own libraries which are a complete pain to manage and it was really hard to get it to see any updates, but I don't think i'll risk re-writing anything unless I really have to.

I think you're right, I should get another machine to test with first, or perhaps do the upgrade on a Friday afternoon when I have no plans for the weekend....!

Thanks all

For sure some of these days, your customers will buy a machine unable to run a pre-Mavericks OS.
So my advice is to test carefully your scripts in a Mavericks system to be able to work with it.

Many enhancements were delivered. At last we have a built-in scheme to use Libraries and from my point of view this feature is sufficient to enter 10.9 world.
Some drawbacks appear here and there.
The most puzzling ones are those related to Sandboxing but we have to learn to live with it.
