event-driven scripts?

  • Subject: event-driven scripts?

Hi all,
Here's what I'd like to do. Is it possible, or will Applescript not support event-driven triggering?

I want a way to set my signature based on the recipients of new emails. So, if I send to someone in a list of addresses, my signature is business, else it is personal. The trick is that the script to do this would have to run each time I created a new message, forward, or reply in Mail. I know I could set up a keystroke to run it, but that lessens the convenience of having it set my signature all by itself. Is such a thing possible? Thanks.

Have a great day,
