So, if I send to someone in a list of addresses, my signature is business, else it is personal. The trick is that the script to do this would have to run each time I created a new message, forward, or reply in Mail. I know I could set up a keystroke to run it, but that lessens the convenience of having it set my signature all by itself. Is such a thing possible? One possibility is my product, UI Actions. You can download a free 30-day trial version here and figure out whether it will do what you want: < http://pfiddlesoft.com/uiactions>.
UI Actions triggers attached scripts in response to a variety of user interface events in any application, such as choosing a menu item or opening a window. It relies on the Quartz "event taps" technology that is built into the system as part of Apple's accessibility mechanism. I have not explored whether it will trigger scripts in response to the specific activities you describe, but it wouldn't be hard for you to find out with a little experimentation.
