That is why we should be able to have defaults settings for turning animations off. I admit, seeing an anchor in the System Preferences, slide, now that makes me smile. (when I open an anchor.) But as for windows flying back and forth between the dock and its former posistion, makes me feel abit like I am in the middle of “warcraft-something”. :) Not that it hurts my ability to concentrate, but I think “stillness” should be part of the minimalist approach to UI, also with regards to animiations. So I see the lack of ability to turn an animation off as a bug. We really should be given the ability to choose.
And that concludes my contributions to this thread. :)
