That's because no one else has this problem... :(
Whenever I open any Applescript editor at least six other apps also open. see image below. Top image was before I opened Smile and bottom image after.
It's just not possible for this to be happening with any AppleScript editor.
SMILE at least makes some sense, because you can have user-libraries with custom handlers that load when SMILE is launched.
So why is the impossible possible on your system? There has got to be a cure, PLEASE?
I'm certain there is.
I'm guessing you didn't do a clean install of Yosemite.
Do you have a clean install of Yosemite on an external hard drive? If so does the problem still occur when you boot into it?
What happens when you do a safe-boot? Does the problem still occur?
What happens if you boot into a newly created test-user? Does the problem still occur?
What odd-ball software do you have installed that I don't that could be contributing to the problem.
You have a lot of troubleshooting options.
You just have to take the time and do your due diligence.
If you do find out what's going on please do let us know!
