Hey Jean-Christophe,
I'm partial to:
It's old now but technically sound.
It's very comprehensive.
* There are quite a few others and some newer than these.
No books I know of other than Shane Stanley's ebook cover AppleScript Objective C.
I'd like something that gives a thorough reference for the language now that I can sort of find my way.
There is nothing that could be called really thorough, because AppleScript is too eclectic.
It has a base language that's very simple and then each AppleScriptable application has its own terminology.
I saw Macscripter.net and registered there the other day after my Terminal question but I can't seem to wrap my mind around online fora... I'll try again.
I'll post more about this later.
1) is _javascript_ less of a hassle ?
If you know _javascript_ well? Perhaps. It certainly has a lot of goodies that aren't in the base AppleScript language.
But. If you don't already know _javascript_ it probably will be much easier to start with "regular" AppleScript.
2) is there an Applescript wiki ?
No. There's a whole lot of stuff about AppleScript on the Internet, but it's not all that neatly arranged.
