What’s new to me is the changed Xcode and Script Editor behavior immediately after a 10.10.5 update.

Updated to 10.10.5 and then did a clean & compile - a project which has embedded applescript to Contacts broke.
In addition, the ScriptEditor has never required the ‘Contacts’ application to be running before it can compile..
