This IS a rudimentary behavioral change in the basic ‘Contacts’ app yes?
I wonder if it's all related to the app's name change some time ago, and the hack to make old scripts continue working.
IAC, it looks like there's a fairly simple solution:
tell application id "com.apple.AddressBook" -- Contacts set x to first person end tell
That compiles here regardless of whether Contacts is running. |
