I too am an avid Kindle reader. Take a look at:   http://calibre-ebook.com 

"Calibre" is an open source product that will provide a solution for all your various ebook, and not just the Kindle, reading concerns. 

May I also suggest that when you go to the web site... click on the Demo. Watch the Demo before you look at anything else.
