I have a problem with users running OS X 10.0.1. I have compiled a bunch of scripts as applications. They run fine on my machine, also running OS X 10.0.1, and other older OS’s. But when I copy them to other users running 10.0.1, the first time they run the system warns that they are applications downloaded from the internet. The user accepts and the script runs fine and quits. But the next time, and every time, it runs, it does the same thing.
If I open the script in the editor on their machine, re-compile, and save as a new application, then the warning goes away after the first run.
This may be a permissions problem, but I haven’t got any idea why. It also may be related to the fact that I can’t paste an icon onto the application, it just fails when I try that. That could be a permissions problem as well. I have tried deleting the ACL’s in the script Contents, to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.
