If the volume is not busy, eject. If it is busy (I presume the eject command returns an error when script tries to eject it?) then loop until it’s free and then eject.

My goal is to eject the TM volume when it’s not busy doing a backup. Since backup happens hourly, the error situation isn’t going to happen very frequently, but needs to be handled whenever it occurs.

No, USB connected.
