Thanks for the info Shane.
I went to the page you gave me and it helped a lot.

I looked at the The Accessibility Access List located in Security & Privacy system preference pane of OS X Mavericks picture.

Question how does one put System Events and SystemUIServer in the list?

I am trying to run this from a service. It is the Currency Converter.workflow that is in my System Services

I am not sure what you mean by selecting the .service

btw I have been studying the various pages at macosxautomation, I just didn’t find the page you referenced earlier.

Well what app does one allow to control the computer?

The one containing your code. If you're running it in Script Editor, then (for the moment) Script Editor. if it's being run from a service, I believe you select the .service.

From what the code says “System Events”, but there is no such App on my iMac.

There is, but that's not running your code -- that's being run by your code.

You might want to read this page: <http://macosxautomation.com/mavericks/guiscripting/index.html>. The last bit, about using ResourceRules-ignoring-Scripts.plist, no longer works, but the rest is useful

Now can everybody please give the big type a rest?

I don’t know what you mean by the big type comment. I am using Mail and I don’t have my type size set that large. I do try to not be annoying with my emails
