I suspect you don't want to add them to the list. You don't add applications you are scripting -- you add applications that *run* the script. If the script is an applet, you add the applet.

First, click on the padlock at the bottom-right to get access. Then click on the plus button at the bottom of the list. I *think* for workflows you need to add Automator, so choose Automator and see how that goes.
