I have a question about watch folder actions.
I have a script that is attached to a watch folder that reads the data in a plist file dropped into the folder. Using the data in the plist file, I have provided to the script FTP credentials and a list of files, and the script sends these files to the FTP site, using the program Fetch.
On a Mac Mini running Yosemite, sometimes the script starts running as soon as the files are dropped into the watch folder.
At other times, they sit in the watch folder for as long as 10 or 15 minutes before the script starts to run.
Question 1.
Why the delay and how can I make the process start immediately after the files are dropped?
Question 2.
When I originally developed this script, I was running Mountain Lion. I could drop a file in the watch folder and Fetch would start up. If I dropped a second file in the folder, a second file transfer would start up (so they were both running at the same time). Now, under Yosemite, only one execution will happen at a time. Why? Is this an OS issue?
