If I dropped a second file in the folder, a second file transfer would start up (so they were both running at the same time). Now, under Yosemite, only one execution will happen at a time. Why? Is this an OS issue?

I have similar problems with Folder Watching on Snow Leopard. I switched to a Launch Agent using the WatchPaths key and found it more reliable. Someone will now probably tell me they are both the same but that was my experience FWIW.
