Right now, whenever I add “as string” to the end of a Statement in the Script Editor it crashes. In fact it crashes quite regularly anyway regardless of what I am doing but this problem but to crash just because I add a few characters to Script is terrible.
I0t’s not just SE either, mail is full of crashing bugs and just about every Apple App I use has some problem or another that never gets fixed.
Really sounds like something is corrupt on your system, or some 3rd party thingy is causing problems. Look at the crash dumps when you crash in all those apps and see if you can find any similarities. I use Mail daily and can't think of the last time it crashed.
