Here is what I sent to my "mac for translators" list. I've twitted about that too (@brandelune).
Whatever the "agenda" is or is not, it seems that Apple's actions are not going in a direction that's satisfying.
It seemed to me that the idea of a standard library was pretty much accepted, whether it was has' or not.
As for automation that is *not* based on Applescript (and considering Swift is going to be ObjC's replacement sooner than we think), is there anything right now besides has' SwiftAutomation that has any potential?.
There are plenty of radars to create on these two issues. Will the 150 something people who signed the change.org petition fill bug reports with Apple?
