Hi Ed,

I believe that libraries should provide helpful (and often complex) functionality through straightforward terminology or handler calls. I'm not going to mess with them or try to rewrite them. I surely don't want or need them to be a tutorial. I just want them to do a job that I'd rather not do myself.

Heck, if I could understand them, they wouldn't be very powerful. Perhaps someday I'll be smart enough to dig into the inner workings of has' libraries to see how they work. Until then, I'm just happy that they do their job so well.

I feel exactly the same way about the libraries and utilities that Shane has shared. Shane, like has, is extremely generous and knows much more about automation than I'll ever know. Ditto for the Satimage folks with their Smile software and osaxen. There are others, as well. I don't know how ANY of this software works—I just use and love it all.

I certainly don't see Apple distributing Has' libraries as a standard library.

Really? I've filed a feature request for those libraries (and also SwiftAutomation) with hopes that Apple WILL adopt them. What's not to love about free software that works, especially when they have nothing to offer of their own?

Regards,
Stan C.
