I have a load of files which are in AIFF-C audio format, which is good for my home audio system. I need to convert them to .m4a files, so my car audio will recognise them. The service “encode selected audio files” will work just fine. Is there a way of applying this service to a file which I’ve found by running a script?

I did this several years ago when I was learning (and using) Automator, so I know it can be done.

A quick Google search turned up a couple of pages that might solve it for you.
