No, it is not. And unless your vehicle is very well insulated against noise and has an incredible sound system (meaning not a factory system), wasting space with lossless is just that. 320 lossy is just fine for such an environment. I haven’t done code signing, so I uploaded the text source for an AppleScript droplet I wrote for using the afconvert command line (it might be hard to open the .app files on the dmg, maybe even the dmg itself). I think it can be modified to output Apple Lossless. If not, please let me know. The version linked should convert to lossless, but does convert sample rate down to 44.1 kHz from 48. https://sites.google.com/site/llee040/applescript/audioconvert Laine Lee
