I could not find a reference to Shane's timer script, so checking my notes I
found that I actually got it by way of email from Chris Stone. You can find
the script in my GitHub Gist:

AppleScript Script #Timer using
ASObjC<https://gist.github.com/JMichaelTX/f26967ae82b865bb7f4c> (based on
script by Shane Stanley)

The handler, and any errors, are mine. I refactored Shane's script to fit my
needs.

As I understand it from Chris (can be confirmed or corrected by Shane), this
timer consumes the least about of overhead that one could obtain in
AppleScript. It other words, the time reported can be safely attributed to
your script.

Best Regards,

Jim Underwood

I used an ASObjC timer handler written by Shane some time ago.
