Thanks for the feedback, Hans.
I should have been more specific.
I need to identify the index numbers of the dup items, and then use that to
update the associated Evernote Note, by assigning a "dup" tag.
The original list came from a selection of all Notes in an Evernote account,
extracting the "title" and "note ID" properties.
So it is more complicated than just removing the dups from the list.

This is a typical translators' problem. I don't have nor need a solution
for AS, but most text editors (including TextWrangler) offer duplicate
removal, as do databases and TMX editors.
