Script Editor in Sierra – Auto-Opens Open Dialog?

  • Subject: Script Editor in Sierra – Auto-Opens Open Dialog?

Hey Folks,

What the hell?

The Script Editor in Sierra auto-opens the open-dialog on launch?

Also if you click its Dock-icon when there is not an open script window.

What genius decided this was a good idea?  And is there any way to stop it?

I don't find a setting in the prefs.

This works, but give me a break...

tell application "Script Editor"
   launch
   activate
end tell

I never, ever want this detestable behavior.

Best Regards,
Chris
