So I take that to mean that you found Sierra unacceptable?

The problems you mentioned don't seem that significant.  I'm a big KM user, and
have been watching the KM board closely for Sierra issues.  There were a few
when Sierra was first released, but it seems now that all KM related issues
have been resolved.

Were there other issues/concerns that compelled you to return to El Capitan?

I upgraded to Sierra the day High Sierra was released. A number of Automator
action scripts had to be recompiled. I had a few problems with Keyboard Maestro
also.

5 days later I cloned El Capitan back onto my machine. End of story.
