That's not an answer to my question. The dictionary does *not* describe what
System Events is, how it works, why it is necessary for some sorts of
scripting, etc.
The dictionary gives lists of classes and events, but certainly not a general
view of what that *application* (since that's what it's called) does.
I can see what Finder does and thus make sense of what the dictionary says
(mostly), but I see calls to "system events" all the time, in UI scripting
mostly, but I don't have an understanding of what it is there for. Hence, what
I see in the dictionary makes little sense.

You'd rather see 2 different mails with the exact same contents?
If I let myself be upset at your reply, I'd also use an imperative, with a
condition: if you don't have anything more useful to say, just don't hit "send".
