Formatting Cell Values in Numbers 5.1

Hey Folks,

First question:

Is is possible to scriptomatically format cells in numbers in more detail than
just gross types (i.e. number, currency, date & time, etc.)

I think not, but I want to cover my bases.

Second Question:

Was it possible to do this before Apple rewrote the iWork apps?

TIA.

Best Regards,
Chris
