As long as you aren't running a system older than 10.14 Smile is usable.
Under 10.14 which I can't install on my machine Smile itself may run but it's
associated additions are not usable except if you encapsulate them in a
structure hiding the fact that they are scripting additions. If I remember well
it's Mark Alldritt (Late Night Software) which proposed this trick.
