General question about InDesign applescript

  • Subject: General question about InDesign applescript
  • From: Bert Groeneveld via AppleScript-Users <email@hidden>

Script debugger 7.0.8
MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
Adobe InDesign 14.0.2 (CC2019)

I created a (large) applescript that automatically builds pages in InDesign.

It runs fine when:
- I run it from within Script Debugger.
- I save it as an application en run it from within InDesign’s script panel.

It does NOT run fine when:
- I save it as .scpt en run it from within InDesign’s script panel.
- I save it as .scptd en run it from within InDesign’s script panel.

In the last two situations I get a beachball after 10 seconds.

Normally I save my scripts as .scptd, but that doesn’t seem to work as
mentioned.

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance,
Bert.
