Hi Bert,
did you try it on a mac with El Capitan? I did read this a few days ago:
MOJAVE and APPLESCRIPT Applets. macOS MOJAVE introduced a number of
security changes that make developing APPLESCRIPT automations more
difficult. Chief among these is the requirement that any application
attempting to communicate with another application must get the user's
permission.
System security is tightened significantly in macOS 10.14 Mojave, and
the impact on AppleScript is significant. BEFORE YOU UPGRADE YOU SHOULD
FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE NEW RULES, not least because in some cases
you may want to make changes to existing scripts first.
