Thanks Shane,
I thought I was going crazy. My apps were crashing with open and save on 10.6 but then I built one on OS 10.7 (Not for that reason) and it was mysteriously working again - I hadn't yet made a connection and assumed It was fixed.
Now I rebuilt on xcode 4.5 and submitted update last night and assumed it was good to go on 10.6 , but not!
