Let's not forget this is not Shane's day job; he chooses to put time into this list and tries to help people. For that, I am very grateful. He has gotten me out of a pickle or two, myself.

Keep in mind he doesn't have to do anything. He doesn't have to draw up clear, concrete examples to problems. He doesn't have to put up snippets of code. He doesn't even have to look at your code and give a seemingly vague direction for you to explore. If it is not the answer you were hoping for or the answer you wanted, look elsewhere. You will likely find that Shane's generous offer of help far and exceeds what can be found somewhere else.

In closing, Shane, thanks for the times you have helped me directly; you have helped me to get a cog unstuck. I thank you for the times you have helped others; sometimes I even learn from other people's problem. Also, I am amazed how you can quickly digest other people's problem and turn the often times trash into something that is usable again. Finally, I am thankful for the time that Shane puts into this list. His generosity seems to be nearly unbounded and is one of the only bright spots about ASOC.
