Lake Co. Mac User Group (California) has always had a "Holiday" party during
our December meeting. We have a short program (this year Don Grossman, our
Fearless Group Leader, will demo how to burn music CD's), followed by a
pot-luck lunch, (the club provides the ham/turkey), and then presents for
everyone that attends.
We raid Wal-Mart for all type of special printer paper, reams of paper stock
(plain & color), business card paper, greeting cards, T-Shirt transfers,
etc., as well as car visor CD holders ..... well, you get the idea.
Everyone gets to pick a gift from under the Christmas tree. Lots of fun,
socializing, tasty treats. (If we have "gifts" left over, they go on the
raffle table at the next meeting)
Then we have another party in January to celebrate our MUG's birthday. The
club provides 2 large ice cream cakes, drinks, and giveaways from generous
vendors, like Apple. Great way to have a casual meeting after MacWorld S.F.
Watch the keynote, talk, and eat ice cream. Ice cream is always fun, even
in January <lol>

If some of you clubs do a Christmas emphasis of some sort in your December

(Don't ask me why we choose military themes... lol.) We emphasize clearly
