I sent the message from Bonnie and then realized she was already here
afterward. If I was just thinking........
But the reason I gave Richard's name is that last week I received a
Review Copy of Quicken 2003 with his name and address on it. I will
give it to the Ambassador to give to a reviewer. Still you'd think if
they dropped the program - well this is a trend.
I am and always have been thankful to Casady and Greene. I've had a
very healthy professional relationship and always forward offers she
sends me to the whole group.
But the trend is all part of the down economy. These types of programs
don't produce as they use to - and it's too expensive to send a Road
show out except to very large groups. Maybe it's time we as a group
started to talk about this. Maybe if we negotiated with some of these
companies, we might be able to offer them a deal that gets to a a meeting.
For example, Seattle talked to Portland and to Boeing and other groups
in the area about holding joint meetings or setting up a string of
meetings for the vendor to hit in a week-long sweep. It never got
further because the people from Seattle never followed through after a
trial run. I still talk to some of the other groups in the area about
this very issue.
Some groups may be too isolated, but even there, there might be a way to
string something together that might be a good carrot. Just me thought.
and BTW it was X - not the battery. I publicly want to thanx all of you
who e-mailed me about it.
David
