Free air!
Hmm how much is the labor and mailing for this update? I forgot
profit for the service.
Here is a thought. Find a member that has DSL or Cable modem and a burner!
Free - nothing is free everything a has a string or rope attached.
Free advise - join a computer club! opps that cost money to join. :-)
Happy Holidays

Unfortunately, that is still verboten. Apple's concern is not, when
viewed objectively, unreasonable. Apple has no quality control over
its software if it is repackaged and distributed second hand. I don't
think it is a matter of economics as we are speaking about the free
software updates (such as 10.2.3 which updates Jaguar).
The 10.2.3 update is NOT entirely free. The update is free ONLY if it is
downloaded. Apple has a different 'deal' for Mac users that don't want to or
cannot download the 59.7MB update. Apple says,"You will be charged $19.95
for shipping and handling plus applicable sales tax for each upgrade
shipped." Give me a break. We all know that it does not cost $19.95 to burn
a CD and mail it to someone in the United States.
