In the early 80s, A.P.P.L.E. was the premier Apple ][ group. The sold
tons of software and their newsletter was very instructive. I remember
THE Spreadsheet as being a cheap alternative to the then dominate
VisiCalc. As I recall, the Woz had created part of the math routines in
THE Spreadsheet. It also seems that it was also packaged under a number
of different titles in a license agreement with what seemed like nearly
all the vendors of that era.
Congratulations on your anniversary.
Apple Corp of Dallas had their first meeting in January of 1978 and will
be having a celebration later in the year. They too are looking for old
members. I would love to have them contact me as well.
For my InfoManager column with UGN and AACUG I am looking for any group
celebrating their 25th in 2003 and will post those announcements as well
as this one.
Again, congratulations. (I was a member in my Apple ][ days, but wasn't
active with A.P.P.L.E. like with many of the other 20 groups I belonged
to over the years.)
