There are, at this writing, already over 13,000 signatures on a petition
protesting the new charges for .Mac e-mail. You can add yours at:

Note that your e-mail address will be protected from e-mail harvesters if
you do add your name to the site.

It has been confirmed that Apple is taking comments from callers about
the lack of a discounted upgrade path from OS X 10.x to 10.2. It is
possible that they might relent on the issue of charging full-price to
upgrade from a previous version of OS X. see:
