There are, at this writing, already over 13,000 signatures on a petition
protesting the new charges for .Mac e-mail. You can add yours at:
http://www.PetitionOnline.com/iTol/petition.html
that makes 13,000 people who don't realize that Apple doesn't care about
petitions, and 13,000 people who I really hope didn't actually read it.
for those that get pissed at faulty logic, horrific grammar and IIRC a
few misspellings too, don't bother reading it.

It has been confirmed that Apple is taking comments from callers about
the lack of a discounted upgrade path from OS X 10.x to 10.2. It is
possible that they might relent on the issue of charging full-price to
upgrade from a previous version of OS X. see:

Give 'em a call at (800) 335-9258 , but be polite to the operator.
I believe that they are also taking comments on .mac. and unlike the
above petition, this is a Good Thing to do. whether or not you agree
that the petition couldn't be more worthless, whiney, childish and
unrealistic, this is still a better thing to do since Apple will
actually care about what it says. (rather than dismissing it for being
worthless, whiney, childish.....)
