.... I had read a lot this days about the new commercials and most are not
so good.
What I'm afraid from Apple is that they try to sell this campaign as
something as big as "Think Different" campaign and that would be a shame....
(on my point of view).
I think is good have this campaign but even so, I don't feel it to attach as
a Mac user.
For me, per example, was more touching as a Mac user read the hole story
about Aaron Adams, the net administrator, that just the little piece that
came out in the QT. Won't be more real and almost funny represent his turn
around, for these who didn't read the story, after a life around pcs, he
start passes by a Mac Store, once and again, but never get in. So finally
one day he took the chance and he arrived on time for the installing Mac OS
X on a Cube, he look at the process and he was stunning, and at one time the
seller went out for a moment leave him with the process on his way, suddenly
almost the only question that the process ask for finish installation was
made and was waiting for the "press return" key, he was so curious so he
pressed the return key to finish the process with out the seller, and then
after the seller finish introducing the data about registration, he was
playing with the computer, what happen next, he bought an iBook.
Won't this be more attractive than see those people stand there make a
little chat, and don't see anything until the end don't you see the Apple
logo, and that it is. I'm an engineer so probably I don't know to much on
marketing....
If you compare both campaigns is like you see genius, revels, crazy ones,
and no macs around but the Think Different to change the world, now you see:
"Bugs lifes" trying to become Butterflies by switching to Apple.....
(from Bugs PCs to Beautiful Apples)
(any remembering moment to "A Bugs Life" from Pixar is just a coincidence)

Great ad. And it's still around.

Anyway, the Real People (or switch) ads are great in my opinion despite the
