NEW APPLE USER GROUP SIGNATURE FILES AVAILABLE TO MUG AMBASSADORS
Apple has updated the authorized user group signature graphics with a new
font and new look. Three different sizes and styles are available for use
under revised signature guidelines. Both the guidelines and the EPS files
are available to Apple-recognized user group ambassadors through Apple
Sales Web .
These files, used in accordance with the guidelines, are the only way a
Macintosh User Group can properly use the Apple logo. No classic rainbow
logos, no creative variations on the theme, nothing that looks vaguely
like our favorite fruit. Don't let others point and laugh at your misuse
of one of the best known logos on the planet. Take a look at what your
group is using and get updated. Playing by the rules helps demonstrate
your group's commitment to doing it right, not just to Apple, but to the
entire Macintosh industry.

"GETTING A LITTLE HELP FROM YOUR (MAC) FRIENDS" ARTICLE SPOTLIGHTS
MACINTOSH USER GROUPS
Dave Zeiler has published an interesting article on MUGs in his "The Mac
Experience" column at sunspot.net, a web site associated with The
Baltimore Sun. The article points out the difficulties many user groups
have in making themselves visible, and highlights the upcoming 25th
anniversery celebrations of Washington Apple Pi and the Maryland Apple
Corps , with quotes from officers of both groups.
