Our group tries to combine membership benefit, self-promotion and Apple
promotion with fundraising for raffles.
We have a raffle each meeting, usually for small, relatively inexpensive
items, magazines, posters, etc. Anyone wearing a Hershey Apple Core t-
shirt or sweatshirt **or** an Apple t-shirt or sweatshirt gets one free
raffle ticket. After that, tickets can be bought for $1 each, or 5 for $3.
At our annual fundraising auction we raffle off a substantial prize (TV,
DVD player, etc.). Each attending paid member (and they can join or renew
on the spot) gets one free raffle ticket. Pricing for purchased tickets
depends on the item raffled.
In both cases, we promote the idea of helping support the group by
participating, and that's usually good for a few extra ticket sales.
