REPORT ON USER GROUP ACTIVITIES AT SPANISH REGIONAL MACINTOSH EVENT
Apple Regional Liaison Amaya Gergoff attended the regional Campus Mac
2003 regional event in Spain last week, and provided us with a brief
summary of the user group activities.
"The meeting was held with people from GUM Malaga, GUM Sevilla, GUM
Madrid , and media sites Faq-Mac and Macuarium, that have big communities
of readers, and promote GUMs." (Amaya made special note that "GUM" = MUG
in Spanish.)
"We covered aspects of the the AUG Program, we talked about relationship
with their Regional Liaison, Yuan-Yuan Sun, and the Apple Locator."
The meeting concluded with an agreement to create a group of Spanish
group of leaders and "helpers" to better communicate between the
attending entities, to exchange information and resources, and find new
ways to grow."
Pictures and an iMovie of the event are available on various web sites
Amaya hosts the LatinMUG chat (conducted in Spanish) on World Without
Borders on the fourth Thursday of each month. Join her on August 28 to
discuss Campus Mac and other user group topics, and look for a more
detailed report soon.
