Yes I think seeing their name in print and mentioning it at meetings to
look forward to a review from --- on ---- in the next newsletter would
be a good way to force some reviews. Although I have sent two emails
mentioning so and so owes a review on such and such with NO LUCK....and
these are loyal club members who are well known in good standing!
One thing for sure is, if they don't do a review they don't get anymore
freebies.
I don't know how to deal with the vendors asking for copies of
newsletters they need proof that a review was done and have to answer
to their higher ups too to justify sending the stuff. I have quit
asking for anything. Pity.
I have given them plenty of time, asked if they need more, asked if
they need help etc. do everything *but* write it for them. Makes you
wonder if they ever intended on doing a review.

Art here, from The Michigan Apple. Funny I stepped into Michele9s old

haven9t had any good results so far.
Since I have an active role in producing our newsletter, The AppleGram

been thinking putting a small mention in those little gaps we need to
fill
after laying out with something like: Look for review of 3Panther, The
Missing Manual2 by Joe Blow, coming soon! to maybe shame some of those
people into turning in something. Also for book reviews,
I ran across a page on the O9Reilly site that may be helpful for
people who
do not know where to start:
<http://ug.oreilly.com/bookreviews.html>
Maybe a e-mail of that link may give them a hint.
