Wow, for a previously "free" service, a lot of people are rather (a word
that rhymes with "witchy") over having to pay a nominal fee each month.
For the content that comes on those discs, I'd be willing to pay out of my
own pocket for the privilege of getting free presentation material and NFR
copies of New and snazzy Apple software. Just as a note, the CD's were
originally meant for paying members of the Apple Consultants Network, Sales
Employees, and Service Providers (who all pay a very hefty fee) The Fact
that user groups got them in the first place was a real coup on Brighid's
part, and thankfully maintained by her successors.
You can only freeload for so long.
