While I agree with Matthew about developers choosing the platform for new
games, I happen to know that Apple does not adequately staff their worldwide
developer relations department with enough people to make Mac games a
priority. The people they do have are excellent, but they are stretched to
the limit and can barely provide support to those who currently develop for
the Mac, much less seek out new developers to bring titles to the Mac.
Several years ago, I was interviewed for an job opening as a game evangelist
(before they changed the position's title) at Apple (Cupertino), but
afterwards, I realized how tired everyone there looked. They were polite and
excited, but overwhelmed at the same time (in my opinion).
