1. Yes - within limits since several of us do that for a living as
well...however being a member of the group does get you a couple of free hours plus
discounted rates from the "pros."
1.a - Actually in a way Apple does do that - if you are under warranty and
live far enough away from a service center so that you qualify for on-site
service...(lots of ifs and buts there).
2. Yes as well. We are in an area where we have a lot of 2nd home owners.
(That's spelled retired folks who come North for the summer!) Some of them
carpool as several of them do not drive at night or do not drive at all anymore. Any
member can phone another member to ask for a ride - it's left very loose on
purpose and so far it has worked very well.
