Here at Washington Apple Pi, we are still waiting to see what the full
program looks like, how much it will cost etc., but at this point we
have not cancelled our three busses. We have quite a few members who
are interested in at least one of the focuses being presented at Create
and the list of exhibitors seems to indicate that almost any Mac user
would find enough to be entertained for at least half of the day. We
will change the focus of our advertising and let our member know about
the close proximity of B&H Photo and the SOHO Apple store. We may leave
the show a little earlier to enable us to have our traditional dinner
on the way home a little earlier and arrive home before 1 a.m. We may
also change the day we go if it reasonable in price to attend a one day
conference workshop. However, we are certainly not ready to cancel.
As for myself, I have been to the full week of the show in both San
Francisco and New York for the past four years--except for the last
MWNY. I rode the bus for the day then due to a family emergency. I
certainly am planning to go to MWSF next winter and I probably will
spend the week at Create because I see lots of areas I would like to
learn more about, including OS X. If this show is really bad, the Pi
will have to rethink its plans for the next show. To plan for the
future, I will need to be there to see for myself if the show has
promise.
