I went to the web sites listed on page 7 to see what software is
re-posited there. Everything is at least a full version old. The only
thing listed under OS X are the iMovie plugins for iMovie 2.0.1.
While Apple is technically allowing us to put certain Apple software on
our CDs, there is nothing there which would help you sell a current CD.
While I frequently hear from our members that they would like to be
able to buy a CD from our group that contains these large updates and
new programs, I do not see that happening. It does not help our members
that we cannot produce such CDs, and it does not help Apple that many
Macintosh owners cannot download the files they want and need, but I do
not see any chance of changing Apple's mind. Oh, well . . .
