Agreed.
These updates are getting gargantuan, toying with the
hundred-megs-a-download border.
Combo updates are a nightmare. They're hotly in demand (that's when your
system goes south and you need to reinstall and upgrade quickly) and they
are GARGANTUAN.
I remember the days of OS 10.0.1 when updates were 4 megs apiece. ;-)
Yeah, I've got DSL, but that's about two months ago. And even in the PRC
capital, I'm one of the lucky ones. (I have to say that. Here, DSL is cheap,
but the wait-list equates well with the length of the Great Wall.) I
remembered when 10.2.3 came out and it took me FOREVER to download these
over my previous 56k modem connection. I had to get a friend whose got DSL
to burn and FedEx me the update. NIGHTMARE!!!
