Really what you're looking for is .htaccess/htpasswd restriction. To do
this you'll need a little control over the web server. I'm assuming it
is running apache? Do you have access to the httpd.conf file?
It's not foolproof and not 100% secure but then if you need that then
you'd be looking for a lot more effort. Here's some links on htaccess.
